Frequently Asked Questions Who can rent the Barn? Anyone can rent the barn but most renters are those looking for a place in the country for their event or wanting a country or western theme and are actually seeking out a barn. Can we see the barn before deciding? Yes, you can. Please contact the Country Barn and schedule a time. Preferred times are Monday thru Thursday evenings when the barn is least busy. Special arrangements can be made for unusual circumstances. How many guests will the Country Barn seat? Approximately 90 guests in the upper lofts and 110 on the main floor. Can we put up a large tent? Yes. There is a level area just outside the barn suitable for a large tent. This area is well lighted with electrical outlets. How do we reserve our event date? We will hold a verbally agreed date for 7 days only. You must submit our contract, signed, and a deposit of 50% of the total cost to secure your date. Who caters our event? Anyone you prefer. You can even cater it yourself using the barn's kitchen facilities. We can also supply you with name of caters that have catered previous events at the Country Barn. When can we decorate? If your event is in the evening you have 2 hours of your choice after 9:00 AM on the day of your event that you may enter the barn and decorate. If your event is during the day we will schedule a 2 hour timeframe that will work for you on that day or the day before. We can also decorate for you for a small fee with you supplying the decorations. Can we have alcohol at our event? Yes you can, but neither the Country Barn or its staff is permitted to provide, sell or serve alcohol. You, as the renter, have complete liability and responsibility for alcoholic beverages. You will also be required by us to appoint a responsible person or persons to control the serving of alcoholic beverages and who will ensure that no one under 21 years of age is consuming alcohol and to stop serving those that have had too much alcohol. Can we hire a DJ or Band? You sure can and we hope you do. We can supply you with the names of DJs and Bands that have performed at the Country Barn for previous events. How many hours am I renting the barn? You are renting the barn for 5 hours. This 5 hours does not include your 2 hour decorating time nor the 1 hour after your event to gather your decorations, food, gifts, and personal belongings; the Country Barn staff will do the cleaning after your event. All late afternoon and evening evening events end at 12:00 AM (midnight) regardless of the start time. Daytime events end at 5:00 PM. As mentioned earlier, at the end of your event you have one hour to gather your decorations, food, gifts, and personal belongings. Overtime requests in one hour increments will be accommodated for a fee. |
